Hi All!

I'm using Windows 2003 Enterprise Edition 32bit with Sybase IQ 12.7. There
is 8GB RAM on current server, but it seems that sybase can't use more than
2GB of RAM, is it true? And is it possible to "push" using all 8GB :)?

Best regards!

I don't think so.
It's a 32bits problem.
Sybase use only one process, and under 32 bits, a process can only have
2G.
You can try 64 bits and then use more than 2G

There is a way to address more than 2 GB of memory in windows 32bit
versions. I Think this is the link..

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/316739

Please read carefully since I did not.

Thanks Ted for a link, I'm using 4GT already, but still it can be increased
to 2.7GB. I've read many info about it, and unfortunally it seems 2.7GB is
the limit for Windows 32bit.

Hrrr... it must be writen in the first page of Sybase IQ requirements
documentation:/
